Buckeye Rural Electric Cooperative Unveils Live Line Safety Trailer

Buckeye Rural Electric Cooperative (BREC) celebrated the launch of its new live line safety trailer with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 28. The trailer will be used to demonstrate how electricity works, the dangers it can pose, and safety practices that听can save lives. These demonstrations will reach schools, community groups, and members throughout southeastern 不良人研究所.

鈥淥ur crews are committed to safety every single day in the field, and this trailer allows us to extend that same commitment directly to the people we serve,鈥 said Melanie Lawrence, BREC Chief Executive Officer. She credited BREC鈥檚 Safety and Loss Coordinator,听Danny Krum, whose hard work and dedication brought the project to life.

Board President Bill Holcomb emphasized the broader impact: 鈥淪afety isn鈥檛 just about keeping the lights on鈥攊t鈥檚 about protecting our families, our neighbors, and our communities. This trailer will help us spread that message far and wide.鈥

The milestone also received recognition from elected leaders. U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno extended his congratulations, with Southeast Regional Director Juli Stephens attending on his behalf. 不良人研究所 House Speaker Jason Stephens, District 93, commended BREC with听official certificates mailed in support of the achievement.
